Helene Grillot is a writer, visual teacher, and the creator of Artisan of Awakening. Her path began in 1998 with a first encounter with the Enneagram. What started as fascination slowly became a deeply personal journey of recognition. Over years of study, drawing, and inner searching, she began to see not only the patterns that shaped the lives of others, but the one she herself was living inside.
Then, in 2015, a revelation changed the course of her life. For the first time, she saw clearly that the self she had been striving to heal was not her essential self at all, but a structure shaped by fear that she had mistaken for who she was.
Just Be was born from that moment.
It was her first act of sharing what she had found with others still searching for a more truthful way of seeing — and a way back to what remained beneath the pattern.

This is not a self-help book in the usual sense. It will not ask you to fix yourself, push yourself, or become a better version of yourself. Instead, it invites you to look beneath the effort. Beneath the striving. Beneath the self you learned to be. It is a gentle journey of recognition.
A way of seeing the pattern more clearly, loosening its hold, and beginning to discover what remains beneath it.

Inside, you will find:
A gentle but honest look at the self we build when fear is quietly shaping our lives
A deeply personal story of recognising a pattern and beginning to step out of it
A clearer understanding of why effort still leaves us stuck
A different way of seeing — one that invites recognition instead of self-improvement
A quiet invitation to stop trying to become someone else, and begin coming home to what remains
This book does not offer a formula.
It offers a mirror. A compassionate way of seeing what has shaped you, what has protected you, and what remains beneath the pattern.
If part of you feels that this is a journey you are ready to begin…
then perhaps this book is for you.
It begins simply.
With a question.
And a willingness to look.
Just Be Yourself is a personal and honest exploration of the self we build when fear is quietly shaping our lives. It invites you to look beneath the effort, the striving, and the pattern you may have mistaken for who you are, and begin to recognise what is still true underneath it all.
It is for people who are tired of trying to improve themselves and still feeling stuck. It is for those who sense there must be something deeper, quieter, and more real beneath the endless effort.
It may speak especially to those who have already done a lot of inner or spiritual work, but still feel that something important is missing.
No. You do not need any prior knowledge of the Enneagram. It sits quietly underneath the book, but what matters most here is the journey of recognition. If you are sincere in your desire to understand yourself more deeply, the book will meet you there.
Most personal growth books ask you to become something. This book asks you to slow down and see. It does not offer a programme, a set of steps, or another version of self-improvement. It offers a different way of looking at what has been shaping your life, and trusts that seeing clearly is where real change begins.
